Increased Fire Risk During Summer

Ideal Summer
When you think of summer, you picture trips to the beach, family vacations, fireworks, and a beautiful night out in the warm breeze. What you don’t think about is firework embers landing on your roof and in your yard, increasing the potential for fires.
While fireworks are beautiful in color, they can also be very dangerous and can result in burns and other injuries. Sparklers can burn up to 2,000 degrees, and are responsible for starting approximately 18,000 fires each year.
Risks of Leaving Campfires Unattended
Another fun activity families partake in during the summer is camping. While roasting marshmallows is a family treat, one must be responsible and extinguish their campfire properly after usage. Keep in mind that if the remains of your fire are too warm to touch, they are not okay to leave.
